There are some problems with IE showing tables correctly in a shadedborder rendered element. See also somewhere in post 286 above. Maybe this 'll work...

The 2048 value was a fix for some problems under IE. (mentioned somewhere at the top of these psoyings) Make sure the script is still working correct under IE, and if so, could you let use know?

Hi,

I tried to get the borders working on very large pages.
It seems the border stops working after like 3 pages.

This is even the case on the demo page if I increase the text inside the div.

Any solution for this problem?

Thanks,
Mike

Can I ask though - how did you get this picked up and into google news?

Very impressive that this blog is syndicated through Google and is it something that is just up to Google or you actively created?

Obviously this is a popular blog with great data so well done on your seo success..

Soccer greats you should write about next, my ex was a basketball champ!

I forgot to add to my post above that if I don't use a ShadedBorder panel, cellspacing="1" works fine - if I add it then cellspacing="1" seems to be ignored for some reason.

I'm using a Table inside my rounded corner panel. My table uses cellspacing=1 so there is a thin line to separate the cells. In other words, the cellspacing makes my table cells look like a spreadsheet. The problem is that in IE7 the lines do not display - they do in the other browsers such as Safari, Opera and FF3.

<table id="tablesorter-demo" name="tablesorter-demo" class="tablesorter" border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="1"

Does anyone know of a work around for this problem?

Same problem here, I corrected the problem by changing shadedborder.js, at lines 155 and 162, replaced height: 2048px by height: 100%. Don't know if it can create other bug, but it seems to work fine with my very long divs.

Thanks Steffen for the script

Sorry, but the above is not a good workround since the conversion from TimeZone to Time causes trouble when it comes to calculate if the cache is expired. The best solution I can think of is to use:

when_fragment_expired ‘tags_home_page’, Time.now + 10.minutes do

That way it is just the Time class being used as in Rails 2.0.

A workround seems to be that instead of in your controller having:

when_fragment_expired 'tags_home_page', 10.minutes.from_now do

we put:

when_fragment_expired 'tags_home_page', 10.minutes.from_now.time do

So instead of passing a TimeZone object, we pass Time as normal. Not elegant I know...

Excellent, that's a great fix. The plugin is brilliant unfortunately there is one other issue with Rails 2.1. It occurs if config.time_zone is set in the environment.rb and results in an error:

private method gsub called for StringIO
time_with_zone.rb:118:in to_yaml

If I find a fix for this, I'll re-post. Cheers.

Hi,

I'd like to report a major FireFox/Opera Bug. Have a look at my site using FireFox or Opera: http://www.naif.in/blog/

Scroll down till you find the post titled AutoEngage. See how it screws up from there. This doesnt happen in IE. Any idea what could be causing that?

By the way, this is where I used it:
http://designmuseumshop.com/whats-new

Also works in FF3 without touching it. As a word of warning: It took a LOT of hacking to get everything right (note how the source code is in one single line for each item, because the white space was playing tricks on me)

Thanks again,
Matthias
